The Mancunian Spring begins

Saturday 28th February 2015 sees the city of Manchester buzzing with events ranging from an alternative media gathering to the Greater Manchester Peoples Question Time to a Music Beats Austerity gig – even Lionel Richie is smoothing into town to the Manchester Arena

From 11am-5pm, at Friends Meeting House in Manchester, a big independent media fair including speakers, discussions, networking and media training workshops

Can we save our NHS from privatisation? – Do strikes work? – What’s the alternative to austerity? – Why is there always money for war? – What happened to social housing? – Can we stop cuts?

Shappi Khorsandi, Comedian
Mark Serwotka, General Secretary, PCS Union
Lindsey German, The People’s Assembly & Stop the War Coalition
Billy Bragg, Musician and Activist
Shahrar Ali, Deputy Leader, The Green Party

At a time when poverty and inequality continue to rise, and all major parties remain committed to a programme of cuts and privatisation, join us at the People’s Question Time where we will be discussing how we organise for a fair, sustainable and more secure future.

Do you have a question for the panel? Submit one when registering for a chance to put it to the event

    1. Good question. There will definitely be Bambusers at the “Wake Up Manchester” protest on Market Street. The Real Media do will be full of techys so I’d imagine they may well be livestreaming but regardless I’ll definitely be tweeting pics etc so I’ll tweet any livestreams that I come across at all of the events..follow @MancunianSpring
